Brady’s bday party Saturday was a blast!  I’ll post some pictures tomorrow.  Nothing like 15 kids, and almost that many adults to livin’ up an afternoon…

Today was fabulous!  Pastor Byron has started a new series, and todays message was on loving others-it particularly hit home to me when he spoke on loving our enemies.  I definately have not handled well my relationships with people who have done hateful things to myself or to people I love.  I could feel the conviction coming over me almost as soon as he started preaching.  I got a healthy dose quite honestly!  He used an Ace of Spades card to drive home the point that even Christians can hold their ‘ace’ in their pocket waiting to bring it back up at just the right time or right conversation, and that we/I should not hold against someone what they can not go into the past and change!  YEP-I got a healthy dose this morning.  I needed it-I have been burying one particular relationship for awhile; its almost easier to ignore, but that certainly is not showing love.  I think I almost felt intitled to ignore this person/relationship because it is very obvious the person has done wrong.  I am not intitled-this person is, at least intitled to my forgiveness.  Boy have I been wrong-I pray I can find the forgiveness and love in this relationship, and that God will use the circumstances to make an eternal difference in this persons life.  (thanks Pastor Byron) (I did mention today was fabulous-I do go to a church where I expect to be stretched and grow-btw!)

And a big shout out to the PlayHouse teachers, who did a fabulous job today!!!  Kelsea at bedtime tonight told me that at school tomorrow she is going to ‘put others first’ because “Friends put others first” (our main point from the lesson today)  She even gave me an example; when Grace wants to sit next to Elizabeth, I will let her because she is my friend, and friends put others first!  I’m so thankful for teachers who prepare during the week, and serve on Sundays so that my 4 year old walks away challenged and growing!
