What a week

It’s crazy to me the week we’ve had already, and its only Wednesday morning.  We had our first meeting with our new community group on Sunday night. (that’s our Bible study group through C3)  We are super excited to get to connect with some different families that go to C3, it was nice to get back on the band wagon after a little break over the holidays.

Monday was an eventful day to say the least.  It was the day we had known was coming since last fall.  Jasons company was re-organizing their structure, and in the process letting over 3000 sales reps go.  They had every one stay home for the day, and then the managers individually called each sales rep, to let them know if they were being retained or not.  Talk about some stress.  We had actually dealt with the anxiety that comes from a situation like this, by just giving it to the Lord.  I mean, it was out of our control, it wasn’t up to Jason.  It’s so great to be able to reflect back over our years together and see the times that God has opened and closed doors, and just know that He sees the big picture even when we don’t; and just have faith that He will get us through yet again.  Pastor Byron has said before that it is during the trials of life that you have the best opportunities to build faith.

We walked through a thick trial in January/February when Brady was so sick, and I guess as a parent, that is one of the lowest of lows you can go through.  I got to a place where I could honestly say, I put Brady in God’s hands; and being able to do that, means that everything else, particularly Jasons job situation dosen’t seem quite as difficult to trust Him with.

Anyway…our prayers were specific, that Jason would HAVE a job, and that he would receive his call early in the day, and not have to wait it out until the afternoon.  We knew the other details, were just….details.  He got the call early (1st answer to prayer), and he was retained. (2nd answer to prayer) Not only that but he got a great position, in a great territory (he will continue to have some of the same doctors), and a manager that he seems excited to get to work for.  God provided more than we even asked for.  It was a great way to start the week.

We also; got Brady registered for preschool in the fall, just 2 days a week, for 4 hours each day.  (This way I can volunteer in Kelseas class, and start to substitute teach again) And, I got to go last night to Truffles and Trifles, for a cooking class. (I would highly recommend this place)  It was so fun…it could definately turn into an annual girls night!

Thats about it…which is alot for only being a Wednesday.   A huge thank you to everyone who joined with us to pray for protection over Jasons job.

  1. Praise God! We’ve been praying for you here, and are thankful that the news is good. Many, many praises to Him for always doing above and beyond what we hope for!

He is good . . . all the time!
