Well, our household along with countless others are left to wonder where our Florida sunshine has gone. It has been raining for over 24 hours straight at our house, with this being the 3rd day our area has felt the rath of Fay. I believe the latest is seminole county can still expect 6-8 more hours of rain. The news is filled with pictures of the devastation. It is so easy to appreciate our situation, when it is so obvious so many others have it so much worse.
Jasons mom will probably drive to her house, which is right on a lake in the Debary area tomorrow to see if her house and her boat somehow ‘made it through.’ Their boat was not faring so well when they left today, and they had to move barricades to get out of their neighborhood, which were intended to block off the flooded out road.
I have been trying to turn the aggrevation I feel for my own self and family into thankfulness for the well being of our entire family in Orlando and our home, and with sincere prayers for protection, and comfort for all the people, and families who are loosing, or fighting-not-to loose, so much.
In an effort to be positive, here are a few of the good things that have happened so far this week:
-My master bedroom got cleaned! I mean CLEANED. Ceiling fan, blinds, baseboards, window treatments, under my bed, and everything in between.
-My guest room/bath got cleaned. (you get the picture-loads of time was spent cleaning)
-I got a shout out ‘YES’ from Kelsea when she found out we were having breakfast for dinner tonight.
-I have only been to Target ONE time this week! (more positive for Jason than myself actually)
-Underoos…just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!!! Being stuck in doors so much, motivated me to let Brady try being diaper free for a couple of hours. Jason wants me to spare our son from future humiliation someday by posting pictures, but I will say, a big ole’ round belly, a very proud little man, wearing his first pair of elmo underoos, was the funniest thing I’ve seen all week!!! (If Jason changes his mind tomorrow, I’ll post the picture…hysterical!!!)
